Ruger has announced that his debut studio album “Ru The World” will be released this year. It will contain his hit singles like “Asiwaju” and “Red Flags”
1. Davido

Davido’s fourth album release was supposedly scheduled for a 2022 release. However a number of reasons might have prevented this from happening. Meanwhile, the singer/songwriter has been subtly teasing his return to music and the release of another album.
He released “Stand Strong” in 2022
Davido’s forthcoming album is currently the most anticipated 2023 Nigerian album
2. Kizz Daniel
Album Title: TBA
Kizz Daniel had one of the greatest years of his career last year with the releases of Buga and Cough. After Davido, his forthcoming album is one of the most anticipated 2023 Nigerian albums
3. Tems
Album Title: TBA
Tems has released two EPs and has had one of the most successful debuts in the history of African artists, she has been teasing the release of her debut album since December 2022.
She has also has a solo debut on Billboard Hot 100 with “Free Mind”.
Her debut album is currently the third most anticipated 2023 Nigerian album
4. Wizkid
Album Title: Soundman Vol 2
After the release of More Love Less Ego, Wizkid must have felt the need that his fans did not still feel “full” like they did after Made in Lagos was release. The artist has been teasing the release of the second volume of his extended play- Soundman Vol 2. The Ep reportedly features Rema.
Wizkid’s Soundman Vol 2 is definitely of the 2023 Nigerian albums to look forward to
5) Tiwa Savage
Album Title: TBA
Tiwa Savage is definitely releasing an album this year as she has released two lead singles from the album already: “Jaiye Foreign” featuring Zinoleesky, and “Loaded” featuring Asake. The last album she released was in 2020- “Celia”- which was to good commercial success.
Her forthcoming album will definitely top charts and further seal the artist’s unchallengeable star status.
6) BNXN
Album Title: TBA
Most people may not know this, but BNXN does not have a debut album yet. Yes, he has two Eps already, and because of his influence in the Nigerian music space, a lot of people thinks his discography already includes an album.
Not yet, but we look forward to it- most likely this year. He already released “Omo Elewa” and “Gwagwalada” most likely from his forthcoming album- which will be one of the most anticipated 2023 Nigerian albums
7) Burna Boy
Album Title: Love, Damini (Deluxe)
Burna Boy announced on Twitter that he was already working on the deluxe version of Love, Damini, his critically acclaimed studio album. The album is scheduled to arrive this year, most likely within the second quarter of the year.
Even though Love, Damini has been released, the deluxe has made it one of the most anticipated 2023 Nigerian albums once more.
8) Omah Lay
Album Title: Boy Alone (Deluxe)
Despite several months after the release of his debut album, Omah Lay’s “Soso”, the greatest hit from the album, still sits on top one of the most played songs on Top 100 Apple Music Nigeria. The singer announced that he was working on the deluxe of Boy Alone, scheduled to arrive this year.
Hopefully, Boy Alone deluxe will contain a remix of Soso with a very powerful artist that can match Omah Lay’s soulful delivery on the song. It is now one of the most anticipated 2023 Nigerian Albums
9) Victony

Just like BNXN, Victony doesn’t have a debut album yet, and with the success of “Soweto”, his hit song, it looks like 2023 is the year that we get Victony’s debut album.
10) Guchi
Guchi has had an impressive career so far, and she is becoming the queen of TikTok hits as her songs have wide TikTok coverage and dance challenges. Her Ep “Purple Diary’ amassed over 11 million streams on Boomplay shortly after its release.
This year, Guchi might be finally stepping out with her debut album and we are excited for it.

11) Boy Spyce
Boy Spyce released his debut Ep with Mavin Records which spawned the hit single “Nobody”. He has also had a somewhat hit song this year with “Folake”. There is a huge chance he releases his debut album this year- or maybe another EP.

12) Bayanni
Bayanni’s introduction to Mavin Records led to the release of the hit TikTok song “Ta Ta Ta”. Hopefully, he releases his debut album this year.
