Tems Free Mind Lyrics Meaning

Here is the meaning of the Lyrics of Free Mind by Tems

Tems Free Mind Lyrics Meaning

Free Mind is a song that seeks self-control which is being continuously overturned by the power of the Mind- something that overpowers the singer.

Stanza One

Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, my mind
Yeah, yeah, my mind

I said 5 in the morning
I wake up to fight for my earnings
Fear in my mind is a warning
Pray to the one you rely in
I’ve been wandering all day
I try to be fine but I can’t be
The noise in my mind wouldn’t leave me
I try to get by but I’m burning;

And behind my mind it runs
All these thoughts of troubling
Fighting to give up my pain
Fighting to be on my lane
My mind running to the other side
When it’s time to live my life
Then it tries to take me out
Tell you what I need right here

Tems Free Mind lyrics meaning in Stanza one talks about how she has to go out and hustle, or live her life but the thoughts in her head won’t let her be. By “Noise in my mind”.

Tems makes an inference of the many things that our mind “forces” itself to meditate on that we just can’t seem to control. At times, these things are uncontrollable and very disturbing.

Free Mind lyrics Meaning sees Tems saying she fights so hard to get her mind back to herself because it seems her mind is controlling itself and letting her be the passenger.

Chorus

I really need, I really need time now
I really need, I need a free mind now
I really need, I really need mine now
I really need, I need to free my mind now
I really need, I really need time now
I really need, I need a free mind now
I really need mind now uhh yeah

It is not surprising that Tems Free Mind Lyrics meaning based on the chorus sees her reiterating how she really needs a free mind because the noise in her mind keeps messing up with everything she is doing and she is trying very hard to stop that.

Stanza Two

This is the peace that you cannot buy
Send me a love that you cannot mix
One is the joy that you cannot waste
And the other one price that you cannot fix
This is the peace that you cannot buy
Finding a way, when you cannot see
Man will desist if he cannot pray
I need to find release

This is the peace that you cannot buy”. Free mind lyrics meaning here infers that the peace that you cannot buy is simply the peace of mind- which apparently, she doesn’t have.

She wants it so bad because even if her hustle gives her enough money, she won’t be able to block the noise in her mind with them.

Stanza Three

So set me free
Freer than the open mind
Farther than the eyes can handle
Freer than the ocean now
Yeah yeah
So set me free
Now I need to find release
Send me to the open sky
Now I need to free my mind
Yeah

I might be falling deep
I might be falling deep
I might be falling deep
I might be falling deep
Tell me now what you need
I’ve been going to God
When I’m all in my mind
I might be falling deep
Falling deep
I might be falling
I might be falling
I might be falling
I might be falling yeah

Tems Free Mind lyrics Meaning here takes a deep turn because it’s obvious she doesn’t seem to have a grasp of her own mind and she may be falling away while watching her mind take control without being able to do anything.

“I might be falling deep,” She says.
