Perhaps, if there were less contenders and the absence of SZA and Taylor Swift, maybe GUTS would stand a chance. But with the presence of more cohesive albums in the category, Rodrigo’s GUTS is definitely not a top contender.

1.) Jon Batiste “World Music Radio”

Jon Batiste’s concept album is indeed a reflection of the genius the artist is. One amazing thing is how Jon Batiste is able to create an album for all times; one that could almost never sound old. World Music Radio might not have performed as commercially as Jon Batiste’s albums do, but it remains a masterpiece.

With Batiste’s previous album “We Are” winning Album of the Year in 2021, it becomes less difficult to say that Batiste might be a great contender for Album of the year. 2.) Miley Cyrus “Endless Summer Vacation”

Endless Summer Vacation is exactly the kind of album Miley could make right now. It’s mature, raw and unapologetic. Infact, her amazing rendition of “Used to be Young”, and Flowers is just top notch. But we fear this might not be Miley’s year. Perhaps she could win in the pop category, but her chances of winning Album of the year remain 3/5

By far, SZA has had the most amazing 2023 for a female artist who debuted in 2017. Her album and singles were met with so much positive reviews and did so well commercially, that it becomes hard to question her ingenuity when it comes to making music. She would later secure her first two number ones in 2023, with “Kill Bill” and Drake’s collaboration with her “Slime You Out”.

In this category, our Grammys 2024 predictions for Album of the Year shows that SZA has a 5/5 chance of winning. However, she could be robbed of the award, but it would make sense, to an extent, considering that she has another serial Album of the Year winner as a contender.

Given, Taylor is a respected artist, but this album does not really deserve Album of the Year as much as SZA’s SOS does. Lana Del Ray is that artist that would win Album of the Year and no one would feel they were robbed because she actually deserves it with her 2023 album.
