Bayanni, The EP
The amazing thing is that Family seals Bayanni as a responsible person and this serves as a good EP Opener because it will encourage people to listen to the EP as many times as possible. Also, this EP Opener makes us see that Bayanni is a fresh voice.
True, he sounds like Boy Spyce vocally and lyrically, but he is still distinct in his own way.
Also, Family sounds like a hit record if it is made a social media trend.
The second track, Body, is meant to serve as the hit single of this EP, (possibly). But with the dancehall influence and catchy lyrics of Body, it still doesnât sound like what should be a hit. But it could be a hit because of the catchy chorus.
Meanwhile, Family beats Body lyrically and musically as a record. The lyrics are far too common and it sounds like what we have heard a thousand times over by every male artist in the Nigerian music industry.
Ta Ta Ta sounds like what could be the hit song of Bayanni EP. There is a sprinkle of Love Nwantiti magic on this song that makes it sound like what people could get hooked on.
Especially when Bayanni starts with âI give her like Ta Ta Taâ. Ta Ta Ta is the best song so far and it makes this EP sound wholesome. It should be promoted as a single off this album. It would really do well on streaming platforms and set Bayanni up as a breakout star.
Kala is a cool record, and it has that street afrobeats vibe that people love listening to now. It doesnât sound bad as the EP closer and it almost beats Body on this EP. The chorus is really good too.
Bayanni EP shows that Bayanni has a fresh voice that screams a lot of talent to yet unlock. But it sounds like Bayanni would need to evolve and discover his sound based on his amazing tunes so he doesnât get undistinguishable among the plethora of upcoming Nigerian artists.
