Those are the lyrics to Want You by Oxlade

Oxlade’s Want you is a delightful listen and here is why:
Lyricism
Oxlade’s Want You is not entirely lyrically embedded.
And this is a smart move.
Want You is a romantic song that should place more emphasis on the sizzling tunes and vibes of the song.
Oxlade understood this and this was what he did on Want You. Want you has its fair share of lyrics, but they are not too much.
Another part of Want You lyrics that Oxlade should be applauded for is the catchy chorus:
Want you,
I go dey Want you,
Want you
Me I go dey want you,
Want you,
I go dey Want you
Oh na na
It stays in your head that you just can’t get rid of it.
Oxlade really comes through with the lyrics on Want You, and here is the third most impressive thing about the lyrics on Want You
The lyrics are common lyrics. There are some songs you just want common lyrics to if you want the listeners to be lost in it.
For a song like Want You, this was exactly what was needed- common lyrics that we can relate to highly, and Oxlade delivered this.
The lyrics are amazing.
Especially when Oxlade goes all “Call and response” with the bridge. That was noteworthy.
Delivery
If there is something unique about Oxlade, it’s how he can get really dynamic and dexterous with his delivery on songs.
Even on his cover of “Baddest Boy”.
His delivery on Want You was cool.
It was laced with a tempting and seducing voice that makes the lady in question not want him the way he desires her too.
If there is anything that makes Oxlade’s Want You spectacular, it is his delivery.

It is just applauding how he gets so persuasive with the delivery, that at the end of the day, it sounds so convincing.
Oxlade had the assignment, and he ultimately delivered it on Want You.
The amazing thing is how his delivery on Want You is so calm, yet so electrifying in a way that he makes the song Want you feel emotions.
Only someone else can deliver a romantic song like this so convincingly- Kizz Daniel
Relatability
Oxlade’s Want You is so relatable.
As humans, it is not impossible that we always develop feelings towards each other that we just want to do anything for those we love regardless.
The head-nodding thing about Want You is how it speaks to both males and females alike.
It also does the job of convincing us thinking of wanting anyone we develop feelings for, but haven’t been able to express our feelings for.
With Want You, Oxlade shows that he can get us in the perfect romantic mood.
Mixing and Production
The producers of Want You deserve their credit. Want You lays on the beats with such mind-blowing sync.
Although much could have been done to improve the muffled part that doubles as the glibs.
But this does not take away the flow of the producing of this song. It is nothing short of deserving.
The mixers and producer (s) of Want You did their homework, and Want You is a success already!
Replay Value
Oxlade’s Want You will enjoy attention in Nigeria, and even beyond this country.
It is a timeless classic love song. Want you can be played anywhere: A wedding, hangout, party etc.
This increases its replay value. You never get tired of listening to it!
Flaw (s)
The only flaw about Want You is that after the song ended, too much time was given for the glibs.
To an extent, it waters down the effect of the song.
The glibs at the end sounds like something else was coming but it gave us nothing.
That part should have been reduced to all of seven seconds. This would not have reduced the replay value of the song anyway.
It would not be bad if it were 15 seconds shorter since there are literally no lyrics on it

Oxlade explores sizzling lyricism and song mixing to make his “Baddest boy” cover a pleasant listen.
When you are done listening to it, it sounds almost better than the original “Baddest boy” remix, which leaves you wondering if he should have been on “Baddest boy” remix initially.
He even uses “Baddest boy” cover to announce his new album:
“Maybe the album is coming your way”
Thankfully, Oxlade’s “Baddest boy” cover actually focuses on what the song should be about, which is not exactly what Skiibii and Davido did on the remix of “Baddest boy”.
Oxlade’s “Baddest boy” cover is a banger, and it leaves you wishing it is longer. The lyrics are on point, the song mixing and producing is tasteful!
We can’t wait for Oxlade’s forthcoming album!
