Yemi Alade releases the music video for rain and it is the most uplifting 2021 music video yet.
“Purely Legendary”
Off her 2020 Empress Album, The Queen of Afrobeats has released the music video for her African peace-themed song titled “Rain” where she featured South Africa’s Mzansi Youth Choir.
Songs like “Rain” are Perennial. In this new age of the Nigerian Music Industry, you rarely hear any singer singing about the Unity of Africans and hope for Africa as a continent with many dark shades and situations.
Meanwhile, throughout her ongoing career, Alade has always adopted a pro-black stance and has been acclaimed “Mama Africa” for the inclusiveness of all of Africa in her songs, the culture of Africa in her music videos and being the only Nigerian Artiste to tour virtually all the countries in Africa.

Rain Music Video could not have come at a better time. It is so uplifting and I gaped at some scenes that depicted pure African culture and scenery. The feeling is like “I can’t believe this is Africa”
Directed by the proficient “Ovie Etseyatshe”, the Music Video will most likely be the last off her album- EMPRESS.
