Okayyyy, we have a Simi and Joeboy collaboration here people. This is the second single off Simisola’s upcoming studio album after the sucess she recorded upon the release of “Woman”. Here’s “So bad” ft Joeboy.
Songwriting
The songwriting is dope. Simi writes songs in such a way that when you listen carefully to the lyrics, you hear some funny words that rhyme and actually gets you more interested in the song. She sings:

Although, Joeboy’s songwriting on the song does not fully match the vibe that Simi started the song with, it still leaves a memorable catchy line with the listeners:
“She look like Adaba but she give me wahala”
Delivery
Something is so obvious, Simi has been working so much on her music that it begins to near perfection. Let’s set aside the fact that she is a sound engineer,(which has done so much to help her songs by the way), her delivery is so unparalleled.
Her delivery on her last body of work “Restless 2”, improved significantly in comparison to “Omo Charlie Champagne”– her third studio album.
However,with “So bad”, simi sings with a convincing tune and brashness that listeners are actually convinced that she is “so bad”, especially the part where she teases Jeoboy after all her trouble:

Joeboy’s delivery on the song is also fantastic. The way he actually calmly explains that it’s hard to get over Simi and that he is crazily in love with her but she is acting up. The song gives a nice vibe with its upbeat tempo, it gingers the desire to want to listen to it repeatedly.

Simi “So bad” ft Joeboy has memorable lyrics that make the song very original and show evidence of thorough songwriting which makes the song a hit. The percussions make it so rhythmic and tuny. Although the song may sound like it’s too long to sustain the interest of the listeners, the songwriting makes up for this flaw. Truth? The song is near perfection.
