Mavin Records was home to big artists like Tiwa Savage, Korede Bello, Iyanya, Wande Coal and Reekado Banks- all of whom have left the record label now. Here are all the artists currently signed to Mavin Records.

1. Rema
Divine Ikubor, popularly known by his stage name- Rema, was signed to Mavin Records in 2019. Although he was initially signed to Jonzing World- A record label and management company by DâPrince, he was later signed to Mavin Global- a division of Mavin Records, which then makes him a mavin Record artist as well as a Jonzing World artist.
As a Mavin Record Artist, Rema is best known for hit songs like âDumebiâ, âSoundgasmâ, âCharmâ, and the chart-topping record breaking song âCalm Downâ.
2. Ayra starr
Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, known by her stage name Ayra Starr, was signed to Mavin Records in 2020. She had been recording and posting covers to popular songs on her Instagram page and this caught the attention of mavin Records CEO- Don Jazzy, who signed her to the record label.
As a Mavin Records artist, she then released her eponymous debut EP- âAyra Starrâ which featured the hit R&B song- âAwayâ. She would later achieve mainstream recognition with hit songs like âBloody Samaritanâ and âRushâ, which would later become the Most Streamed Solo Afrobeats female Song on Spotify, as well as on Youtube.
3. Ladipoe
Ladipo Eso, known by his stage name- Ladipoe, was signed to Mavin Records in 2017. He was the first rapper to be signed to Mavin Records and has had numerous hits like âKnow youâ, âBig Energyâ and âFeelingâ
4. Diâja
Hadiza Blell, known by her stage name- Di;ja, is a mavin Record artist signed to the label in 2014. Prior to this, she had won several awards in the music industry and released some singles. She had a hit song- âAwwwâ that dominated Nigerian Radio Airplay in 2014
5. Johnny Drille
John Ighodaro, popularly known by his stage name- Johnny Drille, was signed to Mavin Records in February 2017. Before becoming a mavin records artist, he had participated in Project Frame West Africa. He released a cover of DiâJaâs âAwwwâ which caught Don jazzyâs attention.
Heâs had hit songs like âHalleluyaâ, âRomeo and Juiletâ âBelieve Meâ and the chart-topping single âHow are you (my friend)â
6. Magixx
Alexander Adelabu, popularly known by his stage name- Magixx, is a Mavin Records artist signed to the label in 2021. He studied Mass Communication at University of Lagos. He had a hit with the remix of his song âLove Donât Cost a Dimeâ
7. Bayanni
Abimbola Oladokun, known by his stage name- Bayanni, was unveiled as a Mavin Records artist in 2022. He released his debut eponymous EP- Bayanni, which featured hit songs like âFamilyâ âBodyâ and âTa ta taâ- the latter which earned a remix with American singer Jason Durelo.

8. Boy Spyce
Boy Spyce was already getting attention on Social Media by posting covers on Instagram. Kizz Daniel posted him on his Instgram story and told people to check him out. Don Jazzy noticed him from there and signed him to the label in 2020.

As a Mavin Records artist, Boy Spyce released his debut eponymous EP- âBoy Spyceâ which featured hit songs like âNobodyâ and âDreamsâ. He is also known for the song âWeather for Twoâ
9. Lifsize Teddy
Lifesize Teddy was recently unveiled in 2023 as a Mavin Record artist. She just released her debut eponymous EP- âLifesize Teddyâ. She is a singer, poet and a rapper. She is the first female rapper signed to Mavin.

Crayon was signed to Mavin Records in 2019. He was originally signed to âBlowtime Entertainment_ an imprint of Mavin Records. He is known for his hit song “Ijo Laba labaâ

About Mavin Records
Michael Collins Ajereh (born 26 November 1982), known professionally as Don Jazzy, is a Nigerian record producer. He is the founder and the CEO of Mavin Records.
Don Jazzy was co-owner of the now-defunct Moâ Hits Records record label with Dâbanj
Mavin Records (also known as the Supreme Mavin Dynasty) is a Nigerian music corporation record label founded by record producer and recording artist Don Jazzy on 8 May 2012. The labelâs inception came to fruition following the closure of Moâ Hits Records, a record label owned by the aforementioned producer and Dâbanj.
The label is home to recording artists such as Korede Bello, Dr SID, DâPrince, DiâJa, Johnny Drille, Ladipoe, DNA Twins, Rema, Ayra Starr, Magixx, Boy Spyce, Bayanni. It also houses producers such as Jazzy himself, Altims,London and Baby Fresh.
In 2014, DJ Big N became the labelâs official disc jockey.
Tiwa Savage, Wande Coal, Reekado Banks and Iyanya were all formerly signed to the label.
On 8 May 2012, the label released its compilation album Solar Plexus.
In January 2019, Mavin Records secured a multi-million dollar investment from Kupanda Holdings, a subsidiary of Kupanda Capital and TPG Growth.
Mavin Records started as a result of Dâbanjâs departure from Moâ Hits. Prior to commenting on Dâbanjâs exit from Moâ Hits, there were allegations that Dâbanj signed over Moâ Hits to Don Jazzy.
In an interview with Sunday Punch, Don Jazzy addressed Dâbanjâs departure from Mo Hits, saying, âWe were working together and all was going on well. It got to a point where I looked at the situation and we both decided that it was not working and we had to move onâ. Don Jazzy alluded to being hesitant of a name change.
According to BellaNaija, the term âMavinâ describes someone who is gifted and skilled in any field.
Upon establishing the rebranded record label, Don Jazzy said he sees Mavin Records being the power house of music in Africa in the shortest possible time.
After rebranding Moâ Hits to Mavin, Don Jazzy signed Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage. Pulse Nigeria reported that Jazzy admires the singerâs work ethic and drive.
Pulse Nigeria also reported that Mavin Records signed producers Aluko âAltimsâ Timothy and Sunday âBabyFreshâ Enejere.
On 7 May 2012, the record label launched its official website and the Mavin league, a social networking site designed to cater to their fans worldwide.
Don Jazzy signed endorsement deals with Samsung and Loya Milk after establishing the label; Tiwa Savage also signed an endorsement deal with Pepsi. Within a year of becoming a revamped brand, the record label released âTake Bananaâ and âOma Gaâ as singles from its debut compilation album Solar Plexus.
In February 2014, Don Jazzy signed DiâJa, Reekado Banks and Korede Bello to Mavin Records a week after each other.
On 1 May 2014, Mavin Records released the hit single âDorobucciâ to critical acclaim.
On 25 February 2015, Don Jazzy and Tiwa Savage both signed endorsement deals with Konga.com.
On 31 October 2016, several media outlets in Nigeria reported that Iyanya signed a record deal with Mavin Records. Both Iyanya and Don Jazzy confirmed the report on Instagram.[19] On 28 February 2017, Don Jazzy announced the signings of Johnny Drille, Ladipoe and DNA to Mavin Records.
In March 2019, he also announced the signing of Rema to Mavin.
On 31 May, Mavin unveiled the signing of Crayon.
The next day, the record label released the collaborative single âAll is in Orderâ.
On 21 January 2021, the label unveiled the signing of Ayra Starr an 18-year-old female afropop singer.
In 2004, Don Jazzy collaborated with DâBanj to form Moâ Hits Records. In the next two years, Don Jazzy produced the albums No Long Thing and Rundown/Funk You Up. Around this time, Don Jazzy developed a recognisable introduction, âItâs Don Jazzy Again!â
On 7 May 2012, Don Jazzy announced a new record label, Mavin Records. He said, âI see Mavin Records being the power house of music in Africa in the shortest possible time.
âOn 8 May 2012, he released an album featuring the artists signed to his label.
The songs on the album included: âAmarachiâ, âForeverâ, âOma Gaâ, âTake Banana and Chocolateâ, âYOLOâ and the anthem âIâm a MAVINâ. Mavin records signed the vocalist, Tiwa Savage. Don Jazzy built a social network platform called âMarvin Leagueâ to complement and market his label.
In 2011, Don Jazzy was employed by Kanye West as a producer at Very Good Beatz. Don Jazzy worked with Jay-Z and Kanye West on the production of Lift Off, featuring Beyoncé on the album Watch The Throne which was released on 8 August 2011.
