“Kwaku the traveller” lyrics Black Sherif

To some extent, this remix is necessary. Kilometer is a song about how far Buju {BNXN} has come .

And featuring Zinoleesky on Kilometer remix is actually significant.

bnxn ft zinoleesky lyrics
BNXN, Zinoleesky

Zinoleesky has had a very good run so far in the industry, especially with the success of his first single “Rocking”

Buju {BNXN} says:

“I don’t play hush o
Ejoor owo mi da?”

He deserves all the attention he is getting because not only is he putting in the work, he is talented. So nobody should try to deny him of what rightfully belongs to him.

>Kilometer remix Review Buju {BNXN} ft Zinoleesky
On Kilometer, Buju shows how he is way ahead of others by explaining that he breaks the speed limit- Kilometer being the standard here.

On Kilometer, Buju tries to show how he is ahead others because he is coming up and vert fast, but it’s hard to see how the lyrics of Kilometer adequately represent the song. It almost doesn’t reconcile.

{Review}: What is so special about Kwaku the Traveller?

Although, in Buju’s defense, Kilometer is repeated as many times as possible on the song. If anything, this makes it more convincing that Buju has indeed gone several miles ahead of others. And in this case, he has gone several kilometers ahead them.

The lyrics of Kilometer by Buju are enough, but not appropriate enough to explain how Buju has gone far ahead other because he has gone ahead with so many kilometers. True, the Lyric depics this:

When I dey on speed, mo ja kilometer
I don play your show, e joor, owo mi da?
When I dey on speed, mo ja kilometer, hmm-mm
I don’t play hush o, e joor, owo mi da?

To examine this objectively, Buju is demanding that his dues be paid to him. He has laid his dues to the industry, and yo the process. So as he speeds up, others should not deny hi, his rights or his flowers. He says

“Mo ja kilometer”

Buju enjoins other to join in his mood feast because we deserve to feel as good as we should if we have come far after labouring to get what we have.

Lyricism

Kilometer remix lyrics by BNXN ft. Zinoleesky is appropriate for the song. It highlights strength and not giving in to generic pleas that don’t lift a person up. Zinoleesky uses the lyrics of kilometer remix to show that he has the money and influence to woo ladies to make them be in a relationship with them.

Meanwhile, Zinoleesky does not exalt the lyrics of kilometer remix. His lyrics are not entirely synonymous to that of BNXN.

According to the song theme, Kilometer is about not taking trash from people. It’s about establishing one’s stance. This is what BNXN establishes with the lyrics of kilometer remix.

kilometer remix lyrics

Meanwhile, Zinoleesky talks more about smoking and chasing after girls, which is his own way of being on “Kilometer”. Zinoleesky’s lyrics on Kilometer remix lyrics adds to the vibe of the song, but not to the lyricism.

It even seems like Zinoleesky’s lyrics on Kilometer Remix is more of a hook than a verse and even though the lyrics of kilometer remix by Zinoleesky are audible, they sound like glibs

Delivery

BNXN and Zinoleesky actually deliver kilometer remix with passion. It influences the song and makes it a bop. It exalts people’s mood.

Recently, Budding afrofusion Nigerian singer, announced on social media platforms that he would no longer go by his stage name called “Buju“, he would now go by the stage name “BNXN“.

According to him, BNXN is an alternative way of pronouncing “Benson” which is his original name. Buju- his erstwhile stage name, meant “Beauty Underneath Just Understood”.

To complement the name fully, Buju added “TYE” to it, which meant “To your ears”.

Put together, it means “Beauty Underneath Just Understood To Your Ears”. However, Buju does not go with the stage name “BNXN”

Although speculations arise on it, the strongest suggestion is that Buju changed his name to BNXN because there is already a singer bearing the name “Buju Banton” who is infact, more popular and renowned.

kilometer remix lyrics ft Zinoleesky
BNXN

It is only easier and more logical that Buju changed his name to separate it from Buju Banton’s own so as to avoid confusion and mistaken identities.

Besides, the decision was also most likely borne out of the fact that Buju does not want to stay in the shadows of Buju Banton’s career. Buju Banton is a Jamaican Singer and is regarded as one of the best Jamaican singers of all time. He even has a Grammy Award.

Perhaps another reason for this dissociation from Buju Banton and changing his name to BNXN, is that Buju Banton is an ex-convict who has apparently served jail time in the United States because he was in possession of Marijuana.

He was released in 2018 and deported back to his hometown- Jamaica. And he is also banned from entering the United States ever.

Based on the fact that Buju will want to exalt his music career in the world {especially now that Afrobeats is one of the greatest music exports} and America is the boiling point of music, it only makes sense that Buju changes his name to BNXN.

Buju might have changed his name to BNXN as a result of record label “suggestions“. Currently, Buju, or should we say; BNXN, was signed to Burna Boy’s record label- “On a spaceship”.

After much deliberations on how his stage name might not be the perfect fit for his Budding music career, they might have tilted Buju towards changing his name to BNXN if, he still wants to remain on the label.

Besides, the greatest assumption lies that the record label might have instilled this decision of Buju changing his name to BNXN considering that he already left his erstwhile label to be with them.

Easily, it passes for a new start on a fresh slate.
