Black Sherif Soja Lyrics
{Verse 1}
My mystery box is somewhere very near
I feel it inside me, Iâm feeling very weird
Something wey I dey chase
For years back in the days
If you told me I would see this
flag waving I wonât believe you
No!
Cause how far could I go (how far could I go)
HEYA!
{Pre-Chorus}
Iâm too close I can feel it
Something is vibrating
Inside me Iâm celebrating
But outside them dey kill me
My own-self dey kill me (my own body, my own body)
My own anxiety
My inferiority what what what
Ah! Dem all dey kill me (dem all dey kill me)
And I donât feel okay
{Chorus}
My heart is beating so fast
So fast
So fast
Oh Soja Soja Soja Soja
Stand and beat your chest
Them dey come
Them dey come
Them dey come
No make them catch you off-guard
Donât let them touch your skin o
Oh Soja Soja Soja Soja
Stand and beat your chest
Them dey come
Them dey come
Them dey come
No make them catch you off-guard
Donât let them touch your skin o
Cause you know how e be my shella
Streets getting colder
{Verse 2}
They bury my brother spirit he
no fit stand proper he dey shake o
He no fit stand proper he dey shake o
Itâs hard to believe my genna
You for see with your naked eyes I swear my papa
This season is a very dark one
(this season is a very dark one o)
My own anxiety
{Pre-Chorus}
My inferiority what what dey kill me
Dem all dey kill me
Dem all dey kill me
And I donât feel okay
My heart is beating sooo fast
So fast
So fast
{Chorus}
Oh Soja Soja Soja Soja
Stand and beat your chest
Them dey come
Them dey come
Them dey come
No make them catch you off-guard
Donât let them touch your skin o
Oh Soja Soja Soja Soja
Stand and beat your chest
Them dey come
Them dey come
Them dey come
No make them catch you off-guard
Donât let them touch your skin o

Lyricism
Black Sherif Soja Lyrics implies a situation where Black Sherif is battling with his own anxiety and inferiority complex because he faces a situation much greater than he can handle.
That situation is himself. Yes, it sounds crazy. But Soja lyrics by Black Sherif points to how there are so many things that his mind feeds on that at the end of the day, he is left staring at so much emptiness.
According to Black Sherif, this emptiness is able to make any man feel absolutely unworthy regardless of how highly they think of themselves before.
Also, Soja Lyrics by Black Sherif, at the beginning, states that there is a mystery box inside of him that he canât explain- hence the mystery.
This particular mystery box juices him up and makes him feel weird, but the kind of weird that makes you feel good.
Meanwhile, Black Sherif Soja lyrics implies that while he feels good inside, he feels much more terrible outside because of his own personal convictions.
There is so much his body outside is battling with that it stops the work of the mystery box inside.
This is a situation of âfeeling good inside but feeling shitty outsideâ. No matter how hard he tries, Black Sherif Soja Lyrics implies that he canât make the mystery box in him make him feel good on the outside.
Meanwhile, Soja Lyrics jumps to another part where we see that the song is majorly about standing upright and being on the watch no matter the hard things you are going through. People donât need to know that, because once they do, you are caught off guard and they can throw anything at you.
This is why Black Sherif refers to himself as a Soja who must stand up, beat his chest and prevent any form of physical or emotional attack against him.
He even proves that people will always come for you once they realize that youâve lost your morale.
He therefore cites the example of his brother (perhaps a friend) whose spirits have been dampened and has therefore been buried by the cold streets (people who run the streets) because he lost the power of his spirit.
Black Sherif is a song about internal and external conflict/struggles that human beings face within and outside themselves which makes them feel really insecure about themselves

Relatability

Literally everyone of us goes through the part where we find ourselves struggling based on the issues of anxiety, inferiority and insecurity because we donât find ourselves enough or strong enough for the situations that challenge us.
However, this is a song of encouragement from Black Sherif. We should be our own Soja, and thatâs it. Because if we donât, we find ourselves staring down the barrel of a gun, waiting to be rescued.
