NAMASTE WAHALA: Nollywood Bollywood movie set for official Netflix release.
‘Namaste Wahala’- The first Nollywood and Bollywood movie collaboration has been announced for official release on Netflix. It will be released on Valentine’s day- February 14, 2021 considering that is a romantic movie.
‘Namaste’ is a non-contact Hindi form of greeting which means ‘I bow to you’. ‘Wahala’ is a Nigerian word which means ‘Trouble’. Now, put together, it literally means ‘I bow to you trouble’

This might make sense considering that ‘Namaste Wahala’ is a movie which focuses on the romantic relationship between two characters. One played by Nigerian actress Inidima Okojie and the other by Indian actor Ruslaan Mumtaz. It then becomes very hard for the parents of both individuals to accept the relationship, and possibly marriage. Veteran actor and former minister Mofe Damijo stars as the Inidima’s father while Joke Silva stars as her mother.

The movie is directed by Indian Filmmaker Namisha Dayani Ahuja.
Originally, the movie was set for theatrical release in April 2020. But had to be moved to October 2020. However, when it was obvious that the second wave of Covid-19 couldn’t allow it. It was set for official Netflix release
According to Netflix, ‘Namaste Wahala’ is filled humorous and heart-wrenching hiccups. It also stars Osas Ighodaro, Segal Sujata, Ibrahim Suleiman, Adaora Lumina, Tience Pay, K10 and others.
The tracks for the movie were produced by Indian producer DJ Suketu and Nigerian record producer MI Abaga.
