There is something that appears confusing at the end of Thor Love and Thunder trailer. It appears Jane Foster (Character played by Natalie Portman) is the “New Thor”.
This may be far from the truth because she is not the only one to ever handle Thor’s hammer.
Is Jane Foster the New Thor?
No. She is not. The fact that Jane Foster could hold Thor’s hammer does not mean she is Thor. If you recollect, his father also handled the hammer, as well as Captain America in Avengers Endgame (Character played by Chris Evans).
It only means she has proven herself worthy enough to handle the hammer, and she has what it takes to step in Thor’s position of power.
Again, if your memory serves you well, the condition for handling Thor’s hammer was a person who was worthy and could step in Thor’s position of power.
That was what his father stated in “Thor” (2011) when he banished his son from Asgard.
This implies that Thor is not the only person who could hold the hammer.
Meanwhile, a critical breakdown of Thor love and Thunder trailer might indicate that Jane Foster is the new Thor.
But this probability is relatively low.
Jane Foster is not the God of Thunder.
The fact that she can handle Thor’s hammer does not make her Thor.
Like his father said, the hammer is not the representation of who Thor is, it is only to suppress or control Thor’s powers as a kid.
Thor, being Thor is that he has in him the power to summon thunder.
When Ella broke his hammers in “Thor: Rangnarok”, he feared that he no longer had his powers, But his father reassured him that he was still Thor.
So, a breakdown of Thor Love and Thunder trailer shows that Jane Foster is not the New Thor.

Plot
Thor Love and Thunder Trailer Breakdown based on plot
Following the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019), Thor attempts to find inner peace but must return to action and recruit Valkyrie, Korg, and Jane Foster to stop Gorr the God Butcher from eliminating all gods.
It appears Thor (Character played by Chris Hemsworth) is still figuring what to do with his life after Avenger Endgame.
He already handed the reins of governance to the Valkyrie (Character played by Tessa Thompson) who does not seem to be enjoying it.
According to the tagline by Marvel in the trailer for Thor Love and Thunder, “Not every God has a plan”.
Thor does not have any plan yet.
However, a breakdown of Thor Love and Thunder Trailer indicates that his plan is “peace”. He buries his weapons and decides to enjoy himself.
He believes he has done enough of war and he should be at peace with his growth now.
To some extent, Thor Love and Thunder trailer breakdown shows that this edition is about Thor’s personal growth and evolution.
We do not get to see him in his superb godly status and attitude as we did in “Thor” (2011), “Thor: The Dark World” (2013), or “Thor: Ragnarok” (2017).
We see him as human as he trains and relates more with people.
This is significant in the sense that Thor is becoming the man his father wanted him to be.
Erstwhile, Thor had been focused on being king. He wanted to rule with an iron fist and clamp out his enemies.
He was always hot-headed and wanted to seek war.
However, Thor Love and Thunder trailer breakdown points that he is no longer that person.
He has reconciled with the fact that peace is what makes the world a better place, and not seeking out wars. His numerous experiences in battle have taught him this lesson.
Meanwhile, a further breakdown of Thor Love and Thunder trailer indicates that he has to fight in a war again after he laid his hammers to rest.
That, is Thor Love and Thunder trailer breakdown based on plot.
Expectations
Viewers may want to keep their expectations for Thor: Love and Thunder a bit average.
This is not to take anything from the power of the movie. Of course, you cannot judge a two-hour film from a two-minute trailer, but a trailer is supposed to show the juiciest part of a movie, and Thor Love and Thunder trailer did not do that.
A breakdown of Thor love and Thunder trailer points that the movie may prove to be less intense. Although there is a part where there is war, eventually, and Thor had to take up fighting again, Thor Love and Thunder may be more emotional than action-packed.
But who is to say? It may eventually turn out to be the best of the movie series.
