New Year’s Eve: Google Celebrates New Year’s Eve with shareable gifs and balloon sprinkles
When you go on Google and type “New Year’s Eve”. After about three seconds, a bunch of shareable gifs pop up. The shareable gigs look so beautiful!!!. When you wait for another two seconds, balloon sprinkles start showering down on your phone screen.
It’s actually amazing to have such nice thing on one’s phone screen. I mean, you could get bored and Google “New Year’s Eve” as many times as you want. Jokessss.
New Year’s eve comes up on December 31, and this year’s New Year’s Eve is Friday, December 31, 2021.
Wanna know a little more about New Year’s Eve? Well here goes the interesting fact behind it:
December 31 is the last day of the Gregorian calendar. The Gregorian calendar is the calendar introduced in October 1582 by Pope Gregory XIII.
It was a replacement for the Julian Calendar which had complications in its calculation of the average solar year.
The amazing thing is that a lot of people don’t know that New Year’s Eve is also called “Old Year’s Day”. Sounds funny, right?.

Celebrations of New Year’s Eve varies from country to country or continent to continent. Usually, these celebrations involve partying and feasting, but the form of partying and feasting varies from country to country too.
â– In Nigeria, most Christians celebrate New Year’s Eve by going to church and partying for the successful achievement of their new year’s resolutions. Other Nigerians choose to stay up all night feasting, playing games and or laughing and gisting with family.
â– South Africans do New Year’s Eve with grand style, they vote for ten songs for countdown for the New Year. As the countdown reaches number one, the most voted song is played in all the radio stations in the country. Cool right?

In Argentina, people have family gathering and crowd the streets to watch fireworks, beautiful costumes and firecrackers

New Year’s Eve celebrations in Chile is one of the coolest in the world. They celebrate New Year’s Eve significantly. They believe yellow is the color of life and vitality, and they decide to wear yellow clothing and yellow underwear. In fact, they place coins in front of their doors, or hold it in their hands as they walk on the streets because they believe it brings good fortune

The Guatemalans are also very symbolic in their celebrations of New Year’s Eve. They eat a grape at each chime of the clock. i.e. with each of the twelve chimes of the bell during the New Year countdown, while making a wish with each one. Not only this, they wear new clothes and gather at the Santa Catalina Clock Arch to celebrate New Year’s Eve.

Chinese people celebrate New Year’s Eve with glamour too. They have rock concerts which take place in Beijing’s Solana Blue Harbor Shopping Park.
In addition to this, they hold cultural shows which are held at the city’s Millennium Monument, Temple of Heaven, Olympic Green, Great Wall of China, and the Summer Palace. Since 2011, a light and sound show has been held at The Bund in Shanghai.
