“Will Makanaki return?”
“How will Alhaja Eniola Salami come back to Nigeria?”
“Is Makanaki really dead?”
Believe it, these and several other questions are the unanswered questions of King of Boys’ fan who cannot wait to see what the mini-series “King of Boys: The Return of the King” will really talk about.
Here is what to expect from the series
It is two days to the release of Kemi Adetibaâs âKing of Boys: Return of the kingâ and fans are expectantly waiting for the D-day. If you remember, it made our list of The most anticipated movies of 2021
Following the success and massive positive reviews of âKing of Boysâ (Released in 2019), Kemi Adetiba, slightly under pressure by her fans, has made a mini-series of her Nollywood Blockbuster movie. It is titled âKing of Boys: Return of the Kingâ
Erstwhile, the movie was scheduled to be a second part which will be released on Netflix.
Fans had been anticipating until Kemi revealed that the second part had now been turned into a mini-series. This will make âKing of Boysâ Nigeriaâs first Netflix original Mini-series.
This decision is honestly, a very reasonable one considering that the prequel to the upcoming mini-series, âKing of Boysâ was three hours long. It then becomes pragmatic to make it into a mini-series to allow viewers take in all the details of the suspense-filled events since it will be streaming on a digital platform.
Meanwhile, here are the things expected of King of Boys as it drops on Friday, August 27
1 It is a seven-part limited series
You might want to clear your Friday cause you are going to be glued to your screens! âKOB: The Return of the kingâ has seven parts and each part is not childâs play! It will cover more details on the return of Alhaja Eniola Salami (Character played by Sola Sobowale), and how she battles against the underworld struggles of dominance against her.

2 Survival of the fittest
One of the things that made King of Boys a believable story was the fact that Kemi Adetiba did not present Eniola Salami as a powerful woman who could not be overcome.
The only thing that saved the heroine in the prequel was that she had loyal followers. Otherwise, her position would have been effectively taken by Makanaki (Character played by Nigerian Singer Reminisce)
Now, while there are loads of speculations that Makanaki is not dead, and that he might come back in the mini-series. This might not be entirely true, as not only does he not feature in the official series poster, Eniola Salami now has a new contender and it is none other than the wife of Lagosâ state Governor Mrs. Randle (character played by Nse Ikpe Etim). Now, with Nse on board, things are about to get wild. These characters ordinarily represent fortitude and putting them at loggerheads is just mind-blowing.
Therefore, from the beginning to the end of the series, we should expect a story that depicts the survival of the fittest.

3 Crime at its peak
While viewers might look forward to crime to be committed by Alhaja Eniola Salami, they should expect a subtle one as the King of Boys will have to remain under the shadows for a while and carry out all her illegal operations carefully. The crime we should look forward to, is the outcome of struggle between Alhaja Eniola and her rivals, most notable of whom is THE Wife of Lagos State Governor- Mrs. Randle.
Ladies and gentlemen, set your calendar, renew your subscriptions and eagerly wait for the release of âKing of Boys: Return of the Kingâ on Friday, August 27. Watch the trailer below:

Makanaki is probably not dead.
Eniola will most likely be granted amnesty as most of the general public didn’t see her as a crime boss as she helped a lot of people.
Makanaki will definitely feature cus he was in the trailer…problem is will it be a flashback occurrence
Omooo. Might be very true sha
