The megabucks deal moves the Belgian above Raheem Sterling as the club’s highest earner, although he still has some way to go to overtake the man at number one on the list of Premier League’s highest earners.

De Bruyne makes it into the top three after the midfielder signed a brand spanking new £350,000-a-week deal. The Belgian playmaker ended any speculation over his future by committing to the Etihad until 2025.
