“Superstar” Nollywood movie- All you need to know

Nollywood movie “Superstar” hits the cinema on Wednesday, December 29, 2021.

The release of the movie had been announced several weeks earlier with great promotion to back it up.

“Superstar” follows the story of an actress who struggles to achieve fame, respect and stardom in contemporary Nollywood. While all her efforts seem to be tampered with, she is faced with a lot of romantic and life issues as she navigates her journey to stardom.

In “Superstar”, actress Nancy Isime and Timini Egbuson play each other’s love interest. The movie also stars Deyemi Okanlawon, Lord Frank, Ufuoma Mc Dermott as well as Daniel Etim Effiong.

The movie further explores Queen’s (character played by Nancy isime) struggle with her convoluted journey and love interests. She seems to be in the grip of her first love interest (character played by Timini Egbuson) who appears to be a carefree person.

She has problems with her other love interest (character played by Daniel Effiong) and life becomes crossroads to her.

“Superstar” is a collaboration between Inkblot production and Filmone Entertainment. This is their ninth collaboration and according to The cable, they’ve had a joint 1 Billion Naira gross at the Box Office.
