Mercy Nnenda Chinwo was born on September 5, 1990, in Portharcourt, Rivers State. She is the fourth of five children in her family(First daughter). She lost her father at a very young age. She is married to Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa who is from Delta State, Nigeria.
Chinwo released her first single, āTestimonyā in 2015, and āIgweā a year later in 2017. Mercy Chinwo is a Gospel music Minister
A year after winning Nigerian Idol, she landed her first film role in Yvonne Nelsonās film, House of Gold where she acted as Lucia, starring alongside Yvonne Nelson, Majid Michel , and Omawumi among others.
