Larry Ndianefo, professionally known as Larry Gaaga, is a Nigerian songwriter, music producer, recording artist, and record label executive. Born on August 25, 1981, in Lagos State, Nigeria, Gaaga gained fame with the success of his hit song “Gaaga Shuffle,” which he performed alongside Innocent “2Baba” Idibia.

Early Career: In 2012, Larry Gaaga entered the entertainment industry as the General Manager of YSG Entertainment, where he managed rapper Vector’s career. He even featured on one of Vector’s tracks, “Get Down,” alongside 2Baba. That same year, he received a nomination for “Entertainment Man of the Year” at the Nigerian Entertainment Awards.

Gaaga Shuffle and Musical Pursuits: In 2017, 2Baba released the collaborative track “Gaga Shuffle,” named after one of Larry Gaaga’s signature dance moves. The song’s producer, Dapiano, revealed that it was recorded spontaneously within 30 minutes when both artists heard the track at the studio. The success of “Gaga Shuffle” encouraged Gaaga to pursue his passion for music and performing.

2018-Present: In 2018, Larry Gaaga released several hit singles, including “Wonderful” featuring Wande Coal and Sarkodie, and “Doe” featuring Davido. He collaborated with artists like Burna Boy, D’banj, Base One, DJ Neptune, and Charass. That same year, he secured a record deal with Universal Music Group Nigeria. In 2019, Gaaga teamed up with 2Baba again for the love song “Iworiwo.” His collaboration with Wizkid on “Low” garnered over 11 million views on YouTube. While signed to Universal Music Group Nigeria, Gaaga remains the CEO of Gaaga Muzik.

Recent Achievements: In October 2019, Larry Gaaga extensively worked on the soundtrack album for the sequel to Nigeria’s premiere film production, “Living in Bondage.” The album featured artists like Davido, Flavour, Peruzzi, Patoranking, and 2Baba. In May 2020, he signed a record deal with Def Jam Africa, a flagship of Def Jam Recordings. Later, he became the vice president of Def Jam Africa and the head of the A&R division across English-speaking markets in Africa. In November 2022, Gaaga and 2Baba formed a musical duo called “The Kabal,” releasing their debut single, “Mad Over Hills”.
