Jagun Jagun ending explained
Towards the end of Jagun jagun movie, Erinfunto (character played by Fathia Williams-Balogun), stabs Ogundiji with her small mace that contains magic enough to render him helpless for some seconds, while Gbotija (character played by Lateef Adedimeji) and some of the other soldiers who have turned against Ogundiji pierce him repeatedly with their swords. He then falls down and die.
However, at the end of the movie, a man comes towards Ogundiji’s palace after his death and he is given the news that Ogundiji is indeed dead, by the wise man (character played by Yinka Quadri) who stands outside the palace. The man, currently unnamed and played by veteran actor Ibrahim Chatta, screams in anguish after the wise man says “The finest calabash in the house has broken.
He then shouts “Ogundiji o” as though to invoke his name.
Jagun Jagun ending explained (Potential part 2 plot)
The end of Jagun Jagun shows that the end has not come at all. It would seem that the man that seeks Ogundiji out after his death is a close relative to him, or someone in his family. Ibrahim Chatta is pissed off by Ogundiji’s death, and to exact revenge, he will turn Ogundiji into a spirit and make him exact vengeance on Gbotija who killed him.
He’ll also come back more powerful than ever.
It may in fact be that Ogundiji is not dead at all, considering that his death was not fully shown after he was pierced severally with the warrior’s swords and that of Gbotija. We only saw him fall down, so he may very much be alive.
Hence, Part 2 of Jagun Jagun will be about Ogundiji seeking vengeance against Gbotija, who now controls Ogundiji’s kingdom and army of warriors.
That’s Jagun Jagun ending explained.
