Those are the lyrics to Shattered by Guchi
Guchi makes an impressive performance with Shattered. While the songwriting, mixing and production are on point, something seems to be giving.
{Review} Finesse Pheelz Ft Buju: what does the song lack?
And that’s the first verse. The lyrics sound like anything you will hear on a heartbreak song.
However, as Shattered progresses, Guchi uses more intense lyrics with an even more passionate lyrics to make us very interested in the song.
This makes Shattered a good song consequently. Examining Guchi’s delivery makes you come at a conclusion that Guchi has refused to get lazy or too comfortable with her artistry.
Shattered appears to be lyrically embedded which is something that may spur the replay value of the song, considering that Shattered has a common song theme.
Apart from the first verse of Shattered, all the other verses bear considerably interesting lyrics.
On Mixing and Production, Shattered gets an “A“. The lyrics lay on the beats and the sync is amazing!
On Relatability, Guchi’s Shattered is relatable. It borders on a common issue in relationships.
But the argument remains that the song theme has been explored so many times that the effect is no longer felt as heavy as it should on the listeners.
Guchi tries her best to deliver Shattered, and she does, but she can’t take away the fact that the simplicity of the song theme might be a problem.
As a new artist, she has made her ground, especially with “Jennifer“, but Shattered shows that she puts in the efforts.
Apart from this, Guchi seems to have adapted so much to contemporary music that it becomes easy to listen to her song even if you don’t know her nationality.
Most Nigerians do not really listen to other African artists {Well, apart from Amaarae}, but with Guchi, she blends so much and delivers on Shattered.
