Call lyrics Iyanya ft Ayra Starr
{Iyanya}
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Woah woah woah woah woah
Itâs Iyanya
{Verse 1: Iyanya}
E don tey wey she see me now
E don tey wey she see me now
E don tey wey she gimme now
E don tey wey she gimme now
Hmmm, o o omo don dey gimme problems, problem
Say I no dey pick call, I don dey form foreign
After I chop one, I take off
I don miss a good thing, na make up
That thing wey happen na set up
That thing wey lead to the break up
And if you donât mind, letâs kiss and make up
These things dДy happen for Lagos
Still I wan be with you
Still I wan ride for you
{Chorus: Iyanya}
Baby, call mĐ” on the phone
Anytime that you need some love
You can pull up on the low
Already know how it goes down, yeah
Yeah, baby, call me on my phone
Anytime that you need some love
You fit pull up on the low
You already know how it goes down,
goes down, yeah
{Verse 2: Ayra Starr}
You fit call on me, call on me
Anytime you need something
Let me give you something
Let me give you something, baby
You fit call on me, call on me
Anytime you need something
Let me give you something
Let me give you something, baby
Am I selfish if I say I want more?
Is it too much to ask for your love?
If I call on you, shey you go pick my call?
It is easier said than itâs done
You say youâre busy
Got me looking dumb, you got me nagging
Tell me what it is, am I priority?
You got what I want but not what I need
But I donât wanna say goodbye
Cut your number off speed dial
Iâma give you one more chance
But gotta to tell everybody that youâre mine
Hold me like you own me
Use me very slowly
Hold me like you own me
Use me very slowly
Hold me like you own me
Use me very slowly
Oh
Ediye mma aye isin baby
Mma aye isin baby
Ediye, ediye
Oh
Ediye mma aye isin baby
Mma aye isin baby
Ediye, ediye
Oh
âFolake for the nightâ lyrics meaning [Explained]
Iyanya was right to feature Ayra Starr on a song like âCallâ.
And Call appears to be a cool song. But there are a few things which should have been trimmed to make the song a perfect listen.
Although this does not in any way mean that Call is not a good enough listen.Â
So here it goes:
Lyricism
Iyanya and Ayra Starr had amazing lyrics for Call.
The lyrics on Call are so suitable that you just cannot do without falling in love with Call.
The lyrics are suitable, because both Ayra Starr and Iyanya are good with song lyrics, and they showed this with the noteworthy lyrics they served on Call.
I mean, you have lyrics like:
Cut your number off speed dial
Iâma give you one more chance
Delivery
Iyanyaâs delivery started off a little bit off on Call. Although he picked up on later.
But even Ayra Starrâs delivery is not the top notch delivery you get from Ayra Starr.
I mean, Call has the same vibe as âLove donât cost a dimeâ re-up- on which she delivered powerfully.
The delivery on Call affects the song when you listen to it because it doesnât sound as convincing as possible.
The delivery has an effect on us as we listen and it makes us judge the song, and to some extent, Iyanya and Ayra Starrâs delivery on Call affects the replay value too.
Relatability
Call is relatable.
Itâs what lovers face all the time. They battle with conflicting emotions and they try to sort it out when they miss each other.
Thus, they have to give themselves some space so they can figure out their feelings- which it seems Iyanya and Ayra Starr do on Call.
They accept each other back- at least as Ayra Starrâs lyrics on Call denote.
Mixing and Production
Iyanyaâs Call featuring Ayra Starr gets the mixing and production right.
The lyrics are so in sync with the beats and it makes us enjoy Call till it ends. Kudos to the song producers
Replay Value
Like we said before, Call has its fair share of replay value, but if the delivery had been improved, it would have had a higher replay value.
You would want to listen to it over and over again because you know you get entirely intrigued by it.
However, what may improve the replay value of Call is its relatability.
Call is very relatable, so this may ginger listeners to listen to it as many times as possible.
Flaw(s)
The major flaw with Call by Iyanya featuring Ayra Starr, is that Iyanya takes too much verse before allowing Ayra Starr jump on the song.
Iyanya sings till 1:26, which is more than half of the song. And by then, our patience to hear Ayra Starr is already almost wearing out.
Apart from this, Call remains a good song with suitable lyrics and wonderful mixing and production.
