(Flip the music)
Baddest
Woah-oh
Help me go all the way, right away
I cannot explain it (Oh, no, yeah, yeah)
Ooh, ooh (Mm-mm, mm-mm, mm)
It’s alright, very fine
I don’t want you to like me anyway

{Chorus: Gyakie & Davido}
Especially when you are touching, touching me
I know you want it, baby, look at me and see
We are on fire, flames (Woah-oh-oh)
We are on fire (We on fire, babe)
(Fire, babe)

{Verse 1: Gyakie & Davido}
I said, “Never, never”
Will I take another one aside you, side you
But you dey push every time, I bеg you, beg you
Can you my messages? Odo
(Wo aa na mеp3 o)
Mm-mm-mm (Woah-oh)

Can you my messages? Odo
(Wo aa na mep3 o)
Mm-mm-mm (Oh, oh)
Can you my messages?
Odo (We on fire, babe)
(Wo aa na mep3 o)

{Chorus: Gyakie & Davido}
Especially when you are touching, touching me
I know you want it, baby, look at me and see
We are on fire, flames (Woah-oh-oh)
We are on fire (We on fire, babe)
(Fire, babe)

{Verse 2: Gyakie & Davido}
When we fight and you curse
You cry and it hurts and it burns
Ooh-weh, ooh-weh, fire, babe
Just like it’s rehearsed, an entire re-run
When I go nak (Mm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm)
When, when I go nak (Mm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm)

I love you, it’s simple (Ooh, ooh)
Turn to the side and let me see your dimple (Ooh, ooh)
I’ve known you for long, oh
It got to a point people say we resemble
We on fire, flames
Yeah, yeah (We on fire, babe)

{Chorus: Gyakie & Davido}
Especially when you are touching, touching me
I know you want it, baby, look at me and see
We are on fire, flames (Woah-oh-oh)
We are on fire (We on fire, babe)
(Fire, fire, fire, uh)

{Outro: Gyakie}
Ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh

Iyanya “Like” Lyrics Ft Davido, Kizz Daniel

Lyricism

Gyakie ft Davido Flames lyrics speaks on the intense love relationship between two people.

Apparently, they are attracted to one another because of the physical features and their love for one another too.

Gyakie ft Davido flames lyrics spells out how physical touch can go a long way in helping a relationship, especially in relationships of people who don’t mind such things.

gyakie flames lyrics ft Davido

Gyakie ft Davido flames lyrics also talks about how they can’t seem to get over one another even though they fight some of the times.

Their relationship is too intense it feels like flames.

To an extent, Flames lyrics is appropriate for the song.

Delivery

Davido and Gyakie Delivery flames as much as they can, and it actually goes a long way in helping the song.

It would seem that it was made from a personal point {of course, without actual attractions}, for instance, the moment where Gyakie says turn your left cheek and let me see your dimple”

Background

Nigerian vocalist/producer Davido blends traditional African elements with global mainstream pop for a sound that’s equal parts intriguing and infectious.

He quickly grew from club-ready early songs to charting tracks and features from big names like Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown on his 2020 album- A Better Time.

Davido was born David Adedeji Adeleke in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1992. His interest in music began while attending Oakwood University in his late teens, and he started making his own beats and investigating music production.

He dropped out of school and began pursuing music full-time, relocating to Lagos, Nigeria, and releasing his debut single, “Back When,” in 2011.

The single received some attention for its mix of clubby production, high-energy vocals, and Afro-pop rhythms, and was followed shortly by second single “Dami Duro.”

Work began on his debut album, “Omo Baba Olowo”, which was released in 2012 and produced a plethora of singles.

Success came quickly for Davido, and he sated his fans with a string of new tracks released over the next several years while he was working on his sophomore album, The Baddest, which was still unreleased as of 2020.

Between 2013 and 2017, singles like “Gobe,” “Aye,” and “Pere” (among many others) piled up, sometimes featuring collaborations with bigger-name rappers like Meek Mill and Young Thug.

Between albums, Davido also inked a deal with RCA.

More standalone tracks followed until 2019, when second album A Good Time arrived, featuring guest appearances from A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Perruzi, Popcaan, Chris Brown, Summer Walker, Gunna and other stars from around the world, and did well both commercially and with critics.

Davido quickly followed the next year with his third effort A Better Time. The album was a similarly star-studded affair, with guest spots from Nicki Minaj, Lil Baby, Saulti Sol, and many others on Davido’s bright and catchy R&B-infused Afropop.

“A Better Time” also fared well commercially, breaking into the Billboard charts its first week of release.

Here is “Igbo and Shayo” Meaning by Burna Boy

Ruger “Girlfriend” Lyrics

Lyricism

The first amazing thing about this song is the lyrics. Yemi Alade begging lyrics make the song even more interesting.

I mean, the lyrics of the song talks about how she falls in love with a guy and she asks him out. Yemi Alade begging lyrics points to how the guy used to love her very much and respect her.

begging lyrics

However, now, it’s just nothing. There is nothing left for her in the relationship. Yemi Alade begging lyrics sees her saying categorically that she doesn’t want the relationship anymore.

She is begging that she doesn’t want to be in love anymore. To an extent, we can say that Yemi Alade Begging lyrics implores other women or men not to be in relationships that they don’t deserve.

It’s not by force to fall in love or be in a relationship with someone. Yemi Alade begging lyrics is actually very suitable for the song.

Delivery

Yemi Alade’s delivery on this song is mad! My man was something.

But Begging is on a different level. She lets her voice ride on the beat so much that it becomes the melody we listen to.

Yemi alade begging lyrics

Yemi Alade

It also makes begging lyrics lay on the beats well.

To an extent, she delivers begging with a personal vibe as though she has gone through the same “fate” so many times and she is begging that she doesn’t want to fall in love with anyone anymore because it is painful, it’s stressful.

Relatability

Yemi Alade Begging lyrics is what makes this song relatable.

I mean, there are so many people out there suffering from several heartbreaks they’ve had and they haven’t recovered from it yet. Both men and women will find this song relatable.

Replay Value

The shortness of this song, alongside the lyrics, makes it have a high replay value. Begging is devoid of all Yemi Alade’s extras that she puts in a song.

She went into the studio, recorded it and left the song as perfect as it is. Only haters will not like this song. It’s a jam, and hopefully, it becomes a hit.

Does Yemi Alade have a Grammy Award?

Does Yemi Alade have a Grammy Award?

Does Yemi Alade have a Grammy Award?

The question on a lot of Nigerians’ minds is whether or not Yemi Alade has a Grammy Award. The reason for this is not far-fetched. Nigerians are so keen on who has a Grammy Award in the country or not because apart from their obsessions with Billboard, it is the latest mark for achievement in the music industry.

Does Yemi Alade have a Grammy Award?

By association, yes, she does. But individually, she does not. She was featured on the lead single of Angelique Kidjo’s “Mother Nature” which won the Grammy Award for Best Global Album at the 2022 Grammy Awards.

Technically, this makes her a Grammy Award winner. It’s the same way Wizkid has a Grammy Award because he was featured in Beyoncé’s “Brown Skin Girl” music video.

Yemi Alade

However, individually, Yemi Alade does not have a Grammy Award to her name. All she has most likely is a Grammy Certificate. But by association Wizkid has a Grammy Award.

Besides, if anyone should lay claims to really having a Grammy Award in Nigeria, it should be Burna Boy. Burna Boy is the first winner of a solo Grammy Award in Nigeria, with his album “Twice as Tall”

Hopefully, both Wizkid and Yemi Alade are again gunning for Grammy Awards again after Wizkid lost both of his Grammy Nominations at the 2022 Grammy Awards.

However, Yemi Alade has actually been nominated for the award-A Latin Grammy Award in 2023, and has been on two projects that have been nominated for Grammy Awards.

It is not surprising that having a Grammy Award in Nigeria now is the yardstick for growth and status in the Nigerian music industry.

Nigerians have attached so much importance to it that any move made by any artist is seen as submitting to Grammy standards.

Also, they have collectively criticized the Grammy Recording Academy for associating African sound to be slavery and “call for peace” alone.

Although these accusations are founded on how White people perceive African music, and the kind of music that Angelique Kidjo has cemented with the Recording Academy music.

Meanwhile, these accusations may not be completely true because Burna Boy’s last album was not short of Burna Boy’s style of music, and yet, it won a Grammy Award.

Angelique Kidjo’s last Grammy award winning album “Mother Nature” was also an album that touched on Love, social change, Humanity and Police Brutality. The album even featured Burna Boy, Yemi Alade and Mr. Eazi.
